We are currently looking for a Senior Project-Construction Manager with large scale luxury hospitality and residential project experience. This is a great opportunity to join our Miami team.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Owner’s Advisor with primary responsibility for managing and overseeing key permitting, construction, and design activities: Oversee Florida State and City of Miami Permitting; civil, landscape, pools, and LEED scopes of work; and building construction.  Attend on-site meetings with the builder, subs, consultants and owner team.
  • Represent the owner in key meetings coordinating alignment of project procurement, budget, scope documents, schedule, and construction.
  • Perform all management activities required in a highly collaborative, complex, and fast-paced environment. Attend required in-person and video-call meetings.
  • Work directly and collaboratively with our Miami and New York offices in the development of a luxury resort development with an experienced and demanding client. Coordinate with Architects, Contractor, and project team to meet objectives and resolve issues.
  • Guide owners through complexities of design and construction phases, achieving goals.
  • Employ strong initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment, leading and driving the management process forward.
  • Develop and manage budgets, schedules, minutes, logs, and required reporting for the project team and owner.
  • Assist in developing and managing project strategic plans and program initiatives.
  • Lead selection process for consultants and vendors, including RFQ/RFP preparation. Lead all elements related to contracts including leveling, negotiating, drafting, and execution.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a closely related field is highly preferred.
  • 15+ years of project and/or construction management experience with medium to large scale developer hospitality and residential projects.  Experience with high profile luxury projects and clients/developers preferred.
  • Experience with both Miami and Florida building permitting, and agency and jurisdictional reviews is highly preferred.
  • Firm knowledge and understanding of construction methods, materials and sequences, project procurement, and architectural/construction drawings and specifications.
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as business presentation skills.
  • The ability to effectively interface with all levels of management and staff across organizational lines, including other client business units.
  • Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated success at building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines.
