MHAworks is seeking a self-motivated, creative, resourceful, and technically proficient Licensed Architect with demonstrated capabilities in both design and management to serve as a firm-wide resource.
In this position, you would be responsible for:
- Assisting with development of firm-wide design standards.
- Overseeing design presentations, monitoring project design development, and providing staff with design direction and support to ensure consistent and high-quality design.
- Clear and consistent communication between each branch of the project team.
- Assisting Project Managers with developing project scope, schedules, and fees.
- Planning, executing, and delivering projects that meet the client’s budget and schedule by way of concept-based design processes.
- Assisting as needed with construction drawings, specifications, and construction administration services.
- Analyzing and addressing technical and design issues with the project team to produce a constructable solution.
- Working with local jurisdictions and permitting officials.
- Working with Technical Lead and firm leadership to further firm-wide initiatives to control quality, risk, and delivery of technical aspects of work produced.
- Mentoring junior staff in their professional development.
- Developing and maintaining positive client relationships.
- Collaborating with firm leadership, marketing, and business development to ensure continued office growth.
Our ideal candidate has:
- 15+ years related experience, with at least 10 years as a licensed professional.
- Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and building systems.
- An informed understanding and experience with building envelope design and detailing.
- Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, systems, specifications, and codes.
- Experience in construction administration, costing review, and value engineering.
- A high comfort level working on concurrent projects of diverse scale and type in various stages of development.
- High proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- A penchant for creative and collaborative problem-solving.
