Urban Designer + Community Development Planner: is a highly valued team member who will work among our creative community design practitioners on a myriad of public, private, and non-profit projects, including planned communities, affordable housing, public policy, and urban design programs. This team member will be responsible for conceptual design, production, and project management efforts as well as researching, interpreting, and responding to project solicitations for both public and private development work and RFPs and RFQs. Projects may include citywide comprehensive plans, neighborhood, downtown and small area plans; urban design and placemaking solutions; corridor, trail, and park plans and urban streetscape initiatives. Applicants are expected to have a strong aptitude for quantitative research, quality creative writing, and visual communications to express ideas that communities can embrace.

The ideal candidate would have the following attributes:
• Analytic and visual expertise (2d + 3d visualizations)
• Public outreach and engagement experience
• Proficiency with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and Microsoft Office
• Strong presentation, design, and graphic skills (digital and hand drawn)
• Interdisciplinary collaboration
Education Requirements: Minimum Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or Urban Planning. Preferred Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design, or equivalent design degree.
Salary Range $72,000 to $90,000 (pending experience)
