Overview:
Float is a multidisciplinary full-service studio that creates spaces, products, and interior identities for workplaces, commercial spaces, hospitality and retail. Vastly experienced, highly collaborative, and open-minded, they build relationships to their clients through in-depth discovery and considered design direction.
Responsibilities:
- Manage staffing, workflow, and deliverables across multiple projects of various scale
- Manage overall project budgets and deadlines in close coordination with SID and AD
- Generate and track client proposals and liaise with clients to ensure smooth project experience (i.e. lead project meetings, presentations, agendas, feedback, etc.)
- Communicate project and workflow concerns to senior team and partners as needed
- Optimize workflow of the team and assist in anticipating and addressing challenges
- Track CA as it relates to overall schedule, timeline, and budget.
- Make site visits as needed
- Gather client president images and interpret/communicate design intent and client feedback to partners and design team
- Support with screening new hires and conducting interviews
- Conduct new business calls and outreach to determine scope and fit for the studio
Qualifications:
- BA or MA in interior design or architecture preferred
- 6-10+ years of experience in architecture or interior design with a focus on project management
- Experience managing creative teams
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, BIM, CAD, Google Suite preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extremely organized, personable, with a commitment to understanding and optimizing the workflow of the team.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity
- Legal authorization to work in the US
- Ability to work hybrid (minimum 3 days in the office)
