Bora Architecture & Interiors is seeking an energetic, self-motivated project leader who shares our passion for design and our commitment to health, equity and sustainability. We are excited for you to join our growing studio in Portland, Oregon. 

You bring the capacity to lead teams through the design process for mid- to large-scale institutional projects from concept to construction; a depth of experience with science, engineering and technology-focused facilities for higher education clients is required. You are energized by the power of collaborative design and believe listening is an important aspect of leading, with a commitment to clear and productive communication. You share our deep commitment to equity, inclusion and design justice, while your passion for sustainable design is matched by your knowledge of high-performance architecture.


  • Accredited degree in architecture 
  • 12+ years professional architecture experience including science, technology and engineering facilities
  • Excellent visual, verbal and written communication skills 
  • Demonstrated skill with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and other design software such as Rhino, Enscape, V-Ray
  • Familiarity with building codes and specification requirements to ensure design meets technical standards 
  • Self-motivated with strong leadership, organization and time management skills


  • Work with project teams to develop inspiring design concepts 
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants and contractors to develop thoughtful design solutions that meet project requirements 
  • Lead the design process, organizing work assignments, supporting and guiding design staff to ensure the project vision
  • Lead the development and delivery of compelling design presentations to meet project needs internally and externally
  • Craft design briefs and narratives aligned with firm design vision
  • Participate in business development activities including preparing proposals and interviewing for new commissions
  • Mentor junior staff to support their professional growth
