We are seeking a full-time Senior Design with outstanding design, organization and production skills who is passionate about great architecture and willing to break the mold — because that’s how we are.
MUST HAVES:
- The Senior interior design tasks during all phases of the design process
- Develop ideas and solutions using a range of graphic and technical software and knowledge
- Keep up to date with current interior design trends and incorporate these into work
- Lead and mentor design team while developing ideas
- Prepare design presentations and deliverable packages for client meetings
- Work with Principal Architect and clients to select lighting, materials, tile, stone. etc.
- Manage all appliance, equipment, and finish specifications
- Communicate with product representatives, vendors, and consultants to meet project goals
- Coordinate during construction administration
- Ability to manage our material library is a bonus
- Expediting experience at various governmental agencies is a plus
- Must currently reside in the Los Angeles area; no relocation or remote work.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture
- Minimum 5 – 7 years of professional experience in Residential Architecture
- Experience as a team leader and mentor
- Ability to work and multi-task in a highly charged yet collaborative environment
- Must be quick thinking, self-motivated, and highly organized
- Excellent and precise skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
- Knowledge of building codes
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Must be able to drive own vehicle to product showrooms, consultant offices, job sites, etc.
- Must love old buildings, old objects, and be okay working with a dog in the office (the cutest chocolate lab you’ll meet!)
