Sr. Architectural Technical Designer
Sr. Technical Designer responsible for the preparation of Construction Documents and Design Development documents for established high-end residential and hospitality design firm in Newport Beach, CA.
Responsibilities:
Design Development and Construction Document production
Assist Project Architects with plan check correction process
Assist with preparation of design presentation material
Assist Project Architects with coordination of project consultants including interior designer, landscape architect, civil engineer, structural engineer, geotechnical engineer, MEP engineers, acoustical engineer, etc.
Requirements:
Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD on residential and hospitality projects is a must (Minimum 5-10 years working experience is required)
Ability to generate construction details and quickly adapt to existing office graphic standards.
Complete familiarity with CRC and CBC.
Complete familiarity and understanding of exiting and fire/life safety code requirements for multi-level hospitality and commercial projects.
Strong understanding of Type V construction methods and detailing.
General understanding of Geotechnical, Civil, Structural, MEP and FLS engineering functions sufficient to interact with these consultant disciplines.
Ability to support project architect in taking schematic designs through DD and CD with attention to detail and ‘pride of ownership’ in final work product.
Highly organized and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Team player able and willing to meet deadlines with the ability to learn quickly and take direction in a constructive and supportive manner and contribute to promoting a harmonious and positive work environment.
Familiarity with Construction Administration protocol.
