OLIN Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning seeks a Senior Accountant to work 100% onsite within our Accounting Department. Under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for timely and accurate accounting and daily reporting as directed. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and a strong work ethic. We’re looking for an individual with excellent organizational and time management skills and one who is capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day reporting and accounting support as directed
  • General Ledger tasks; Bank Reconciliations, Account Analysis, and Account Reconciliations (quarterly/annually)
  • Prepare Journal entries as needed
  • Review of Vendor invoices to ensure accuracy
  • Review of Consultant invoices for conformity with contracts
  • Accounts Payable Entry as required
  • Accounts Receivable/Billing Support as required
  • Expense report review and approval
  • Vendor setup in Accounting System
  • Annual Preparation of 1099s
  • Work with external accountants for Quarterly and Year-End work
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience with Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications
  • Attention to detail, and critical with regard to accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to engage with all levels of staff from Entry Level to Partner

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline
  • 5+ years of accounting/finance experience
  • Knowledge and Experience working in A/E/C industry preferred
