Experience: 2-4 years in architecture, focusing on construction drawings, shop drawing review, millwork packages, lighting schedules, and site visits.
Design Phases: Proficiency in Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Drawings, Construction Administration, Vendor Coordination, Plumbing selection, Material Selection, and Lighting
Selection. Skills: Strong in hand and computer drawing, highly productive in CAD, with preferred experience in residential work. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects of varying sizes simultaneously.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with experience in client, vendor, and contractor interactions.
Technical Skills: Proficient in creating construction drawing/document sets, resolving technical and code issues, and reviewing contractor RFPs. Must be skilled in CAD and comfortable with Word, Excel, In-Design, and Photoshop.
Knowledge: Familiarity with NYC design sources and building codes, and the ability to source and coordinate finishes, plumbing fixtures, furniture, decorative lighting, textiles, and window treatments.
Prerequisites:
- Legal Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Proficient in producing construction documents (CDs).
- Experience in project management and consultant coordination.
- Client and vendor relations experience.
- Knowledge of NYC design sources and building codes.
- Professional degree in Architecture/Bachelor Degree in architecture is required
- US experience required. NYC experience a plus.
