Job Description:

KSMA is looking for a technically proficient Project Manager to join the KSMA team. A minimum 3-5 years project manager experience in an architectural firm, and at least 10+ years of experience of production document development associated with in-field time, are mandatory requirements. This Project Manager will work closely with KSMA’s Senior Project Manager and Principal through all project phases; and direct the development of production documents, working alongside fellow KSMA team members. The Project Manager will also be expected to assist with construction administration during implementation of projects. They will be expected to understand how to shift priorities in project work to keep up with changes in project schedules. This candidate will need to be able to redline drawings and review markups with the Principal and Senior Project Manager, working with and directing fellow team members.  All KSMA team members  contribute to the firm’s productive, innovative, and collaborative work environment.

Requirements:

  • A professional degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited school
  • Licensed or working towards licensure
  • Excellent technical AutoCad skills
  • Experience in Rhino, Revit, SketchUp, and/or Enscape is a plus
  • Prior team management experience
  • Ability to coordinate all phases of architectural and construction documents
  • Experience with Construction/Contract Administration phase procedures
  • Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks among multiple projects
  • Proficient Type V residential construction experience
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of U.S. Building/Code requirements/regulations for local, state and national governing jurisdictions
  • Experience reviewing budgets, schedules, pay requests, and contracts
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to take the initiative required for ongoing project development
  • Historic Preservation experience a plus; however, not mandatory

This is a full-time, in-person position, based out of our Long Beach, CA office.
