Orange County architecture firm specializing in contemporary, high-end, custom residential projects looking for a highly-motivated, creative, and versatile Project Manager/Designer to aid in responsibilities across all phases of the design and construction process.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Produce accurate and thorough working drawings with minimal guidance
  • Able to manage a project from concept to construction in considering budgets, scope, scale, schedules
  • Create and maintain 3-D models
  • Generate renderings/exhibits of design intention
  • Carry projects through city submittals and agency approval procedures
  • Interpret zoning, life-safety requirements, and code standards into viable design solutions
  • Develop design sketches, layouts, and details through various mediums and software
  • Organize and guide project meetings with consultants, clients, manufacturers, etc.
  • Perform construction administration duties and maintain on-site progress with attention to shop drawings, schedules, submittals, and change orders
  • Facilitate key project decisions between construction team and ownership
  • Implementing client and consultant feedback into design documentation
  • Perform code, product, and material research
  • Coordinate design intent and documentation with other disciplines, trades, and contractors
  • Lead communication with vendors/material representatives

Ideal candidate would possess:

  • 5+ years relevant experience in the architectural field
  • Exceptional creative design capabilities
  • Thorough experience drafting plans and elevations with minimal supervision
  • Degree in architecture
  • Strong graphic, written, and verbal communication
  • Proficient knowledge in AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Photoshop, Revit, and other rendering software
  • Experience in residential design and/or knowledge of Laguna Beach building codes is beneficial
  • Strong personal initiative and ability to work independently
  • Reliable interpersonal skills
  • Proven time management traits
