Frida Escobedo Studio seeks Project Manager 

We are seeking an experienced French-speaking senior architect to join our growing New York City studio as a full-time Project Manager.

Salary Range 

$125,000 – $150,000 annually, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications

The studio covers 100% of individual health insurance plan contribution costs, generous paid vacation, and an optional remote work policy on Fridays

Qualifications / Experience 

  • Professional proficiency in French required
  • 9+ years of experience working on complex projects required, cultural experience preferred
  • Leadership experience through all phases of a project: from Concept Design through Construction Administration
  • Licensed professional preferred
  • Advanced architectural degree preferred
  • Strong design sensibility
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Ability to organize and motivate a team
  • Working knowledge of Revit, as well as graphic and rendering software
  • Knowledge of building specifications, codes, details, and construction methods

Core Responsibilities 

  • Work with the Creative Director to oversee the architectural design development and documentation of a cultural project in Europe
  • International monthly travel to participate in client meetings, workshops and site visits
  • Develop and support project design concepts to clients stakeholders
  • Create and maintain project schedules and budgets
  • Liaise between client representatives, architect partners, consultants and design team members, fostering collaboration and design excellence
  • Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, building codes and best practices, quality of deliverables and client expectations
  • Production and coordination of drawing sets and specifications through all phases of the project
  • Mentor less-experienced staff in design and technical growth
