John Milander Architects is a full service architecture firm.  We specialize in high-end residential and resort Architecture (new builds and remodels), Construction Project Management, and Owner’s Representation. About the Position:

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Project Manager with at least 4 years of experience to join our full-time team. You will be responsible for taking projects from design through construction completion…leading some projects and assisting on others.  We function as a team and support each other on our projects. You will spend your days coordinating between consultants and dialoguing with contractors.  You will be coordinating drawings, finding solutions to field issues, and supporting the other architects and project managers. You will need to navigate quickly between hand sketching, 2D drafting, 3D modeling, scheduling, reporting, and specifying and ordering products.  As we have many remote projects, excellent communication skills are paramount to ensure all project needs are being met. You should be comfortable talking to City and County employees, building inspectors, consultants and clients.  We love helping our clients visualize their projects, so knowledge of SketchUp (with V-Ray) and Adobe Creative Suite programs is preferred.   

This position requires the following:

  • 4+ years of project management experience
  • A degree in the field of architecture of construction management
  • The ability to prepare a full construction set and details of all scales
  • Excellence in AutoCAD 2D and drafting standards
  • Confidence in coordinating with consultants and contractors
  • Construction site experience…you must understand what you are drawing and how it is built
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are imperative
  • The ability to manage workflow on multiple projects in differing stages of design and construction
  • Time management skills and the confidence to know when to ask for help
