Our office is located in a storefront where we also have a small store selling objects for small living which serves as an interface with the larger community. 90% of our projects get built. We don’t mess around and the process is collaborative and fun! The job is only in person in La Canada and we do not want anyone commuting more than 45 minutes.
We are part of the Altadena Community and have created a deliverable specific to the Eaton Fire rebuild efforts. The process is working. We have 3 in the building department and 6 more on the way. We are seeking someone who can focus on these efforts. It will be dynamic and entrepreneurial.
WHAT YOU’LL DO (Duties and Responsibilities)
Typical Management
- You will take on some project management duties currently being performed by the partners including: writing proposals/ agreements, communicating with clients about these that, project scheduling, staffing, tracking basic office finances, invoicing, work with bookkeeper, quarterly reports, etc
- Helping Bunch project architects with consultants, client communication and deliverables with staff. Helping with work flow, tasking and achieving deliverables per agreements on many concurrent small projects.
- Aid project architects in communication, project deliverables, work flow, and quality control related to that.
- Collaborate with the team to design and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
- Help assemble an interiors specification and bid documents working with consultants and contractors.
Leadership: New rebuild studio
- Lead a group here and remote in delivering a shortened set of document/ permit/ specification set specifically for fire rebuilds. A 4 month touch. We have established a very strong model and this will grow in numbers.
- Work with homeowners and with staff in the design, communication and permitting.
- Work with contractors and owners with onboarding projects, documentation, bidding, streamlining into reality.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING/WHO YOU ARE (Qualifications)
- A professional degree in Architecture (M.Arch.) from an accredited institution.
- Experienced Project Manager with10 years of real experience in design-focused firms with a project management/business focus working on many projects at once.
- Experience in custom design residential projects.
- Exceptional organizational skills and an interest in systems and efficiency.
- Motivated, independent, flexible, and cooperative problem solver with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
- Capable of taking direction and initiative with minimal supervision.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
