We are looking for experienced Designers / Architects to join our residential focused design team. You will work with homeowners to develop design ideas and help them to get building permits, as well as an innovative team in one of the most revolutionary tech-construction companies in the US.
An excellent Designer / Architect must be well-versed in all Permit design and Type V construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate with a team of professional consultants of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great communication, organizational skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Pre-sales or post-sales customer Q&A and on-site consultations.
- Perform site measurements and produce as-built drawings.
- Draft proposals for Bathroom, Kitchen Remodel Plan set; House Addition Plan set; ADUs, and design solutions for residential clients for city permit purposes.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager/General Contractor for material costs and quality to present to clients.
- Schedule and attend client’s design review meetings.
- Maintain a CRM system and internal reporting systems, and be agile to provide the team and clients with project updates.
- Design and perform Architectural Drawing, planning for residential renovation, additions, ADU, and coordinate with structural engineers, assessments, and submit to city departments and respond to city comments/requirements for permit application.
Job Requirements:
- Strong design skills in residential projects.
- Familiar with California Residential Codes, Residential Remodeling Projects, ADU projects, able to deal with City regarding permit procedure.
- 2+ years of residential architectural design and permit drafting experiences, or 5+ years of other types of projects, in the USA.
- Must understand and be familiar with city permit procedures, and be comfortable with obtaining building permits independently.
- Must have strong computer skills and experience with industry-based computer programs.
- Experience with sales systems, techniques, policies, procedures, and practices strongly desired.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills
Contract Types & Salary:
Job Types: Part-time, Independent Contractor
Salary: $500.00 – $6,000.00 per month estimated, depending on number of projects.
