JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Coordinator will provide support and coordination to the design team. Successful candidates will be able to coordinate between the design team and all other disciplines on a project. This role will work to support leadership administratively and with any project tasks as needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform project execution tasks including creating and editing complex project documents (i.e., specifications, basis of designs, technical reports, etc.).
- Manage project correspondence.
- Arrange project meetings and prepare agendas.
- Set up and maintain key contact lists.
- Record, transcribe, and issue meeting minutes.
- Create and maintain Action Items Lists.
- Set up and maintain project deliverables lists.
- Project file organization, email archiving and other document control tasks.
- Create, collect, compile and issue reports, evaluations, specifications, and basis of design.
- Create transmittals and issue deliverables to client/project team.
- Generate project deliverable package.
- Strong organizational, writing, editing, communication, and expediting skills in a design environment.
- Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency; Adobe Suite knowledge a plus; some familiarity with ProCore or Newforma.
- Familiarity with some of the language used in design environments a plus.
- The ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks, the flexibility to switch gears easily, and a calm demeanor to respond effectively to pressing deadlines from multiple clients.
- Must be able to support multiple projects at the same time.
- Must have excellent proofreading and self-checking skills and must be able to effectively communicate with clients, department leads, and engineers/designers.
- Must be comfortable working independently and initiating project efforts.
- Office work experience required. 2+ years’ experience in an architectural, engineering, or construction company preferred.
- Associates degree or experience equivalence accepted.
- Located in Raleigh, NC. Might require very limited travel to Philadelphia, PA.
