We are looking for a full-time Project Captain to join our growing and fast-paced team. Project Captains are the leaders of developing architectural plans and will work hand-in-hand with Project Managers and the design team to create exceptional projects. A Project Captain should have extensive knowledge of the building process, from conceptual design through construction, and be able to apply architectural principles, practices and techniques consistently and with exploratory drive. The ideal candidate is able to work independently and collaboratively, with a passion for craft and an eye for detail. We are looking for someone that thrives in the multi-dimensional, problem-solving environment of our industry.

Responsibilities

  • Finished plans and specifications
  • Work closely with Project Managers and the design team to create exceptional projects
  • Construction Administration support via preparation of RFI, submittal and shop drawing responses
  • Apply architectural principles, practices and techniques consistently and with exploratory drive
  • Adherence to project schedule

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • On Track for Licensure
  • 8-10+ years of experience
  • Software Experience to include AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office
  • BIM experience required; ArchiCAD expertise is preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Detailed and technical drafting skills
  • Experience with project specifications
  • A strong eye for design sensibilities
  • Strong presentation graphics
  • Varied experience with a desire to learn
  • Knowledge of agency processing and code compliance
  • Knowledge of construction techniques and engineering systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Independent time and task management abilities
