Stayner Architects is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Architect with DSA Experience to join our team on a part-time to full-time basis. This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional with demonstrated experience managing projects through Division of the State Architect (DSA) review—specifically with the Los Angeles DSA office.
We are a progressive, design-driven practice known for thoughtful, contextually responsive work. Our projects span public, institutional, and educational sectors, with a strong commitment to community impact.
Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural projects from schematic design through construction administration.
- Coordinate and prepare DSA submittals with a focus on compliance and successful approval.
- Interface with consultants, clients, and the Los Angeles DSA office.
- Maintain project schedules and documentation.
- Collaborate closely with the Stayner Architects team in a remote or hybrid setting.
Qualifications:
- Professional degree in architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
- 3–7 years of experience with direct involvement in DSA-reviewed projects.
- Experience with Los Angeles DSA office processes is required.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems and codes.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Licensure in California is preferred but not required.
- Remote candidates are welcome; Southern California-based applicants are a plus.
