We are seeking a talented and experienced Project Architect to join our team in San Francisco.

 

Job Description:

The Project Architect will work on a variety of residential projects, including single-family homes, multi-family buildings, ADUs, and renovations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading project teams, collaborating with clients and consultants, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams and collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver successful residential projects
  • Develop and implement design concepts that meet client needs and project goals
  • Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and construction documents
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality
  • Oversee construction administration activities, including site visits, review of submittals, and coordination with contractors
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Mentor junior staff and provide guidance and support to team members
  • Prepare Fee Proposals, ensure the Proposals are signed, and track Project Budget against Approved Fees
  • Obtain Proposals for all Consultants and vendors required for the project and invoice for Consultants or Vendors completed work when the work is contracted with TECTA
  • Prepare and obtain approval for Additional Services and/or Change Orders when applicable for the project.
  • Manage hours and budgets and additional information for all projects in the project management software
  • Supervise and monitor all projects in the Residential Division. Manage Staff workload and assignments

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • 7+ years of experience in residential architecture
  • California architectural license required
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Detailed-oriented with a strong commitment to preparing accurate work
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Well-developed verbal and written skills are crucial to success in this position with the ability to give clear direction and respond to inquiries
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with an energetic and positive disposition
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Commitment to sustainability and innovative design solutions
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook 365
  • Exceptional customer service with a reputation for going above-and-beyond
  • Outstanding project management in coordinating projects through planning, organizing, and overseeing a variety of tasks
  • Excellent problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to manage projects with minimal supervision
