About the role: This role is pivotal to great design across a project scale—from massing to detailing. Enthusiasm for well-designed housing in San Diego’s climatic wonderland is a must. This requires a curious mind searching for clear design resolutions in a collaborative setting.
Research:
- Assist principle in charge and PM to identify project goals and constraints (zoning, code, budget, etc.)
- Dive deep into contemporary housing design and seek solutions applicable to San Diego context
Design:
- Ideate and iterate early project concepts in 3 dimensions
- Oversee the development of specific project drawing sets from concept to construction
- Develop Revit models, drawings and presentations through all project phases
- Develop clear, logical and narrative driven design presentations for Clients

Qualifications/Candidate Requirements: We are looking for someone who can prioritize research, design and schedule and who brings inspiration through all project phases.
- 5 to 10 years of experience (post graduation) with California license
- Intermediate knowledge of design and construction processes in multi-family residential
- Diverse knowledge of architecture principles and precedents
- Accuracy working with speed, think speed chess
- Design acumen with experience working collaboratively in teams of 4 to 6 architects/designers
- Advanced skills in Revit – 5 to 10 years of experience
- Gain valuable experience and receive project management/director training to quickly grow into your next role
- Gain skills and experience outside of architecture in landscape architecture and real estate development
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience exceeding
