DSEA is an established boutique firm located next to the historic plaza in Old Towne Orange. We work with a variety of project types including childcare centers, private schools and educational buildings, hospitality, retail and commercial centers, senior housing, and single and multi-family residences and developments. We also have decades of expertise in historic preservation, and the repurposing of existing buildings. We utilize BIM through 3D modeling software on our projects from start to finish which allows us to ensure an exceptionally high level of accuracy and thorough documentation of our designs.

As a result, our designs implement modernism and contemporary influences to historic preservation solving functional programmatic needs with the appropriate physical environment solutions.

We are located in the Old Towne Orange Historic District steps away from the Orange Plaza, restaurants, and shops that the district is known for.
We are seeking energetic, goal-driven candidates to join our team. Individuals need to be eager and willing to take on the many roles and responsibilities that boutique firms demand and be able to work collaboratively through all phases of our projects. Interested candidates must have at a minimum the following:
Project Architect:
- Licensed to practice architecture in the US (California preferred).
- 10 years minimum of experience working in an architecture firm.
- A desire for excellence in design with the passion to integrate this within each project.
- Coordination and management of all aspects of architectural project development.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Establish and maintain project budgets.
- Project scheduling proficiency.
- Construction phase experience.
- BIM software experience all platforms. ArchiCAD expertise is a plus, but Revit, etc., is acceptable.
- Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree from an accredited institution.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. We provide the following benefits: annual bonuses based upon merit, matching employer contributions to 401Ks up to 4%, health-insurance plans, and flexible work hours.
