JuliaI’m looking for a licensed architect mentor in NYC to provide me with a full time remote internship in exchange for $1000 payment per month from my side. 0 out of pocket cost from the mentor side.
The payment will be paid monthly or semi-monthly to the architect mentor for his/her time mentoring me and teaching me. I will be helping the mentor with whatever architecture\al related tasks he/she gives me based on 40 hours per week work schedule.
I have a good knowledge in Revit and Rhino as well as expert Knowledge in AutoCAD. I have a short experience in NYC codes, zoning and putting small construction documents sets together.
I have 14 years of experience in structural steel detailing and currently making a living as a part time remote freelance steel detailer.
The architect mentor goal will be to helping me transition from the steel detailing field to architecture. I suspect this full time internship will last a few years to achieve its goal.
My work time is very flexible and can accommodate the architect schedule. I prefer the position to be mostly remotely but I’m open for full time in-house arrangement as well if it’s desired by the architect.
When mentor has no active jobs, he/she can assign competitions to me to fill the 40 hours.
I think Freelance architects or small architectural firms will be best fit for this position.
