STORYN Studio for Architecture is a nationally and internationally focused design practice grounded in research, collaboration, and storytelling. We work closely with clients and communities to create architecture that is precise, culturally responsive, and rooted in place. Our work spans housing, cultural, hospitality, and mixed-use projects across the Southeast, the Caribbean, and Europe.
As our studio continues to grow, we are seeking a Mid-Level Designer / Architect to join our St. Petersburg office. This role will work on museums, multi-family and mixed-income housing projects, with opportunities to contribute to hospitality, master planning, and mixed-use work.
This position is ideal for a designer or architect who is ready to take ownership of project components, grow in technical and design leadership, and work closely with senior staff through all phases of design and construction.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery of complex, large-scale architectural projects
- Support projects from concept design through construction administration
- Develop design and technical work with increasing independence and confidence
- Collaborate closely with project leads, consultants, and internal teams
- Participate in design exploration, balancing concept, performance, and cost
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and permitting authorities
- Track client feedback and proactively identify potential issues
- Support studio culture through collaboration, curiosity, and shared authorship
Qualifications
- Typically 4 to 7 years of professional experience
- Experience working on complex multi-family residential projects
- Strong design sensibility supported by solid technical skills
- Working knowledge of all architectural project phases
- Proficiency in Revit is required
- Experience with Rhino and Grasshopper is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex design and technical challenges
- Registered architect or actively working toward licensure
