Marketing Coordinator for Architectural Firm: 0-3 years experience
David Baker Architects (DBA) is a progressive architecture firm with offices in San Francisco, Oakland, and Birmingham, Alabama, that creates acclaimed buildings in urban environments. Currently, we are seeking a Marketing Coordinator to work as part of our growing in-house Communications team to support the Communications Director and firm Leadership in a range of marketing and communications-related areas. The position is remote for now, supporting an office based in San Francisco.
Social Media & Website Content Management:
Manage, update, and maintain dynamic website content (CMS)
Formalize and upgrade DBA social media presence
Create / curate all social content, including text, image, and video
Own and build out DBA’s social media content publishing calendar
Manage editing, approval, and scheduling of all posts for all platforms
Coordinate blog production/publication and newsletter schedule
Marketing Materials & Management:
Maintain and manage marketing collateral (InDesign)
Support the Communications Director in preparation of RFQ/RFPs and awards entries
Coordinate media relations directly and with the firm’s PR consultant, including developing project press kits and responding to media inquiries
Manage firm charitable giving/sponsorships calendar and scheduling
Track and support upcoming firm events/activities/appearances
Coordinate schedules for Principals as needed
Update and maintain contact and project databases
Organize and maintain digital assets
Support Communications Director and act as a resource to the staff for marketing-specific information
Participate in Communications meetings to brief leadership on communications efforts and identify and track opportunities
• Proficiency with social media platforms
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, or strong interest and ability to learn
• Experience in website management (CMS), or strong interest and ability to learn • Strong verbal and written communication, with an eye for accuracy and consistency
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Interest in issues of housing, community, social justice, and design
• B.A. degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or broadly related field • Relevant professional marketing experience (preferred) • Experience in the A/E/C industry (preferred) • Basic photography/videography ability and/or interest
