We are looking for a Lighting Designer for a min. 3-month assignment to be a hands on and a collaborative member of an architectural design team during the conceptual design stage of large complex commercial and government facilities projects.
Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Chief Creative Officer and in collaboration with the architectural design team, design innovative high performance lighting solutions for highly complex large commercial and/or government building projects.
- Draft lighting sheets in Revit
- Render lighting design in Revit
- Funneling all information from outside lighting consultants to internal design team
- Organizing lighting specifications, schedules, and cutsheets created by outside lighting consultants.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in technical theater, engineering, design or related field is preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience as a lighting designer working on increasingly complex large industrial or commercial projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
- Ability to build Revit families for fixtures that don’t have them available.
- Working knowledge of drafting for lighting design and/or electrical engineering
- Ability to work well in a team and take direction from lead designers.
- Ability to multitask and work on a range of projects.
