LEOS International is hiring a lead architect to join its team in London.

This pivotal role will involve leading architectural projects from conception to completion, overseeing design development, managing teams and ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • lead and manage architectural projects from inception to completion, including conceptual design, schematic design, design development and construction documentation phases
  • provide strategic direction and leadership to project teams, including architects, designers and consultants, to ensure project objectives are met
  • collaborate closely with development team/clients to understand their requirements, develop design briefs and translate conceptual ideas into functional and innovative architectural solutions
  • lead design reviews, presentations, and client meetings to communicate project progress, address feedback and ensure alignment with client expectations
  • mentor and coach junior staff members, providing guidance, support and technical expertise to foster professional growth and development
  • oversee project budgets, schedules and resources and proactively identify and address any potential risks or challenges to ensure successful project delivery
  • maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, best practices, and regulations and incorporate them into design strategies and project deliverables
  • foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, creativity and excellence in architectural design

Requirements:

  • bachelor’s and master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution
  • professional licensure or registration as an architect
  • minimum of 10 years’ experience in architectural design and project management, with demonstrated experience leading large-scale projects
  • proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
  • strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, team members and stakeholders
  • proven track record of delivering high-quality architectural projects on time and within budget
  • excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
