Role purpose
Junior visualisers are central to the smooth running of the visualisation team. The team produce predominantly interiors-focused photo realistic visualisations for all yacht, aviation and residential projects with junior visualisers completing complex models in 3dsmax of objects and rooms. They are juggling challenging deadlines across multiple projects, and are guided by the most experienced members of the team and 100% office-based.
Technical skills:
- flawless 3dMax operation with good understanding of modelling technique, edge flow and full modifier list
- strong organic modelling skills, using efficient workflow
- ability to take the brief and deliver tasks with minimal supervision
- ability to complete tasks such as furniture pieces, architectural details, decorative items, MS1 stage of relatively simple rooms
- ability to edit existing visuals, developed by others
- strong understanding of Max/Vray specific workflows, such as camera exposures, EV, sunny 16 calculations
- linear gamma, colour mapping and GI engines
- resolutions of output, input, DPI
- output file format – TGA, TIFF, EI, JPG
- render elements and ways to recreate those manually
- manual CC mask creation – straight and through refraction/reflection
- understanding and applying SOPs to a satisfactory level
- understanding of cameras, film, sensors, angles and focal lengths
- understand types of lights and different scenarios
- understand composition and perception basics
- understand principles of photography and colour theory basics – weight of colour, shape and arrangement
Professional skills and behavioural traits:
- degree or equivalent in design, architecture or visualisation
- at least one year’s post-qualification experience in visualisation role
- outstanding in 3dsMax and Vray
- creative and thoughtful, with a keen eye for aesthetics and details
- strong communication skills to promote and explain ideas and build relationships
- flexible and open to change
- personable and eager to learn
- resilient to cope with conflicting demands and ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
- maintain all visuals and tasks in accordance with filing conventions
- keep abreast of developments in design and visualisation
- deal with queries and escalate when required
- liaise with colleagues on design matters to meet the project requirements
Remuneration and benefits:
- starting salary of £30k
- hours 9:30am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday
- 24 days annual leave per annum
- lunch will be provided, four days per week

Interview process and timeline
Interviews will be a minimum of two stages, and a mix of teams and in-person at the studio in SW14. There will also be a modelling task included in the process.
