Junior / Intermediate Architect

We are currently looking for 1 or 2 individuals who are interested in working / living in the community of Whistler. What we are looking for in the ideal candidate is;

  • 2-4 years working experience in an architectural firm or related design firm.
  • Good working knowledge of Vectorworks or similar CAD programs on a Mac Platform. SketchUp and other computer aided drafting programs would be an asset.
  • Strong understanding of the BC Building Code
  • Attention to details and good organization skills.
  • Work well in team environment while able to work independently
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of architectural design esthetics would be an asset but not essential.
  • Good knowledge of building bylaws, green building strategies and building science.
  • Strong understanding of wood frame construction and detailing
  • Must be registered with the AIBC, or eligible to be registered in the province of British Columbia.
  • strong cycling and skiing abilities are highly encouraged too.
