Job Description:
Arcanum is currently seeking a junior designer to join the San Francisco residential team. The candidate will work under the direction of the project manager to develop and coordinate schematic design and construction documents. The candidate must have proficiency in all software listed below, be able to pick up ideas quickly, and work well with others. The candidate must live in the Bay Area and be able to come in to our San Francisco office to work.
Qualifications:
- An accredited professional architecture degree: BArch
- 2-5 years of professional experience in an architecture design firm
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
- Proficiency with 3D modeling and rendering software (Sketchup, VRay, etc.)
- Excellent graphic presentation skills and strong portfolio
- Creative, positive, highly-organized team player
- Self-motivated and collaborative
- Able to work legally in the United States
Responsibilities:
- Create and post-process preliminary and schematic design drawing packages for client presentations and design review boards
- Collaborate effectively with the design team in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
- Be committed to an exceptional standard of craft and quality
- Seek innovative approaches to communicate design ideas efficiently, effectively, and artfully using various software platforms
- Work with minimal supervision
