Junior Architectural Designer Location: Brooklyn, NY (On-site)

ALAO (pronounced “allow”) is seeking a Junior Designer to join our team in our Brooklyn office. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for both architecture and interior design, who can demonstrate a strong interest and proficiency in both fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design and documentation process.
  • Prepare presentation drawings and material boards
  • Assist in the production of technical drawings and construction documents.
  • Attend project meetings, take and organize meeting minutes, and support construction contract administration tasks.
  • Coordinate with team, vendors/suppliers, contractors, and others to support project success.
  • Manage individual deliverables and workflow within the firm’s project schedules and communicate effectively about that schedule within the design team.

Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Architecture.
  • 1-5 years of professional architecture experience.
  • Strong Design and Digital Design Skills
    • Proficiency in ArchiCAD (required for drafting, modeling, and design development).
    • Excellent visualization skills (Lumion preferred).
  • Experience with technical detailing and knowledge of construction processes
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Legal Authorization to work in the US

Salary:  Salary range commensurate with experience and education per AIA Compensation Salary Survey. (Range $55,000-$75,000)
