Mehrai Design is seeking a junior interior designer to join its small team working in our London studio.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for growth and development within a close-knit team, working on a diverse range of commercial, hospitality, and high-end residential interior design projects.

Creative design responsibilities:

  • creating and editing plans, elevations, and technical details using AutoCAD
  • space planning and innovative problem-solving
  • actively participating in creative meetings, contributing ideas, and mood boarding
  • collaborating with senior team members on all design aspects

Administrative responsibilities:

  • managing communications with relevant teams
  • formatting presentations and maintaining design documentation
  • handling FF&E, finishes, and architectural schedules
  • issuing drawings and presentation decks to clients and the design team
  • procuring samples and finishes for projects, and managing quotations
  • sourcing samples and materials for the library
  • managing trade accounts and organising site/showroom visits
  • overseeing company social media accounts and website
  • coordinating art exhibitions and design shows
  • general filing and document management

Support role responsibilities:

  • providing assistance and support to the design team
  • assisting with diary management for team members
  • recording meeting minutes during project discussions

Applicants must demonstrate strong proficiency in the following skills:

  • AutoCAD
  • SketchUp
  • Revit
  • Photoshop
  • Google Drive
  • Microsoft Office
  • social media management
