Junior Architectural Design Position
Entry Level (1-4 Years’ Experience) – Part-time with Potential Full-time
Join our dynamic and rapidly expanding architecture firm located in Flatiron, New York. We are passionate about delivering exceptional design, and we are excited to welcome new talents to our team. Currently, we have an immediate opening for an Architectural Design Intern and Entry-level Architects. This is a paid part-time position with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time role based on performance. The position is fully-remote to be in person on an as needed basis for meetings, site surveys, and project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Experience in direct communication with suppliers and contractors and material research.
- Strong graphic presentation skills, Construction drawing preparation is a plus.
- Previous involvement in high-end interior residential renovations and projects in hospitality, commercial, and office spaces.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD (2018 or higher), Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino (v5 or higher) + V-Ray or equivalent 3D visualization/rendering programs on the PC platform.
- Confidence in conducting/assisting with on-site documentation and surveys.
- Ability to assist in managing social media updates.
- Assist with the production of: Schematic Design and Design Development sets as well as Construction Documents and Filing sets.
- Assist with the selection of building materials and FF&E, as well as create schedules for same.
- Create design presentations along with 3D renderings and assist with client presentations.
- Conduct documentation of on-site conditions and surveys predominantly in the NYC area.
- Assist with Construction Administration of projects including; Issuing sketches and RFIs, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and compiling Close-out documents.
- Assist with day-to-day office functions such as; social media updates, maintaining digital material library and professional relationships.
- Must be currently residing in the greater NYC area.
- Full legal authorization to work in the US is essential (relocation not provided).
