Ottinger ArchitectsWe have an immediate opening for an Intermediate Designer with 3-5 years of experience who possesses strong design and graphic abilities, as well as technical skills.
Ottinger Architects is a growing firm in the Pico Union neighborhood of Los Angeles, specializing in urban in-fill projects of various scales throughout the area. Our primary passion is for mixed-use market rate and affordable housing projects, and we have several exciting projects under development.
The ideal candidate can effectively work both collaboratively and independently, manage fast-paced deadlines while incorporating client and city feedback, and produce high-quality design and production drawings. We are seeking a highly motivated, conscientious and detail-oriented person with strong communication and interpersonal skills to join our team.
Ottinger Architects supports a collaborative work environment and offers the opportunity to work on many facets of a project, from initial concept to construction. Our goal is to create a well-rounded office where we foster the opportunity for gaining a breadth of experiences.
We offer the ability to work a hybrid schedule, but all candidates must be able to work in the office on a weekly basis for in-person meetings and design collaboration with the principal and team members.
Position requirements:
- Professional degree in Architecture
- Minimum of 3 year of post-graduate experience working in architecture
- A passion for urban design and creative housing solutions
- Interest in sustainable design approaches
- Strong design / graphics skills
- Experience producing drawings for entitlement approvals
- Ability to meet fast-paced deadlines while maintaining high-quality work
- Strong organizational abilities and consistent attention to detail
- Experience working on multi-family residential projects a plus
- Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, V-Ray, Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite
