Harvest Architecture, LLCHarvest Architecture is a small residential design studio focused on the evolution of design through time. We bring historic houses into the 21st century and mix old with new in creative ways while respecting the integrity of the original structure.
We are seeking a full-time Intermediate Designer with outstanding design, organization and production skills who is passionate about great architecture and willing to break the mold — because that’s how we are.
MUST HAVES:
- Bachelors of Architecture or Interior Architecture.
- 3-5 years experience working in an Architecture office.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to plan and lead team and client meetings.
- Be quick thinking, self-motivating and have a great attitude.
- Able to prioritize and multitask in a highly charged team environment.
- High level attention to detail.
- Ability to comprehend feedback and directions from Senior staff.
- And work efficiently/independently with minimal supervision.
- California Driver’s license and US citizenship.
- Love old buildings, old objects and working with a K9 colleague in the office (the most adorable chocolate lab you’ll ever meet!).
- Must currently reside in the Los Angeles area; no relocation or remote work.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Excellent and precise skills in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and Adobe Creative apps.
- Review and coordination of a complete construction document set prior to final review by the Senior Project Manager.
- Experience at various governmental agencies with regards to building permitting, approval processes and able to work with building code officials.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
DUTIES:
- Prepare schematic and design development documents using CAD and 3-D modeling.
- Produce construction documents.
- Assist with building surveys and As-Built plan preparation.
- Coordinate with other consultants, product suppliers, contractors and city agencies.
- Drive your own vehicle to product showrooms, consultant offices, job sites etc.
