Irena Skoda Architects is a multi-disciplinary Architecture and Design studio, with experience in multi-family residential projects located in Brooklyn, Queens & New York City. Having executed high-rise residential buildings, the studio specializes in the integration of architecture and interior design with high-end interior architecture and performance building design and other design tools where candidates will be involved in innovative exploration of design qualities.
We are currently looking for candidates in the following area:
This position requires 3-5+ years of experience, and the candidate must be able to work within a fast-paced environment. The position requires knowledge of the multi-family residential design industry and experience working in all phases of the design process from conception to completion. We require a self-motivated, smart-working, focused multitasking individual with a high level of integrity and a strong work ethic.
Intermediate Architect
- Intermediate level of experience (min 5 years preferred) and high-end residential experience is a plus.
- Understanding of Construction with the ability to coordinate the projects beginning to end.
- Has residential and/or hotel multi-family experience from schematics to construction documentation experience.
- Understands and can perform zoning feasibility studies as well as building code analysis as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or higher.
- Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp (Rhino, 3D Studio is a plus), ComfyUI, Stable Diffusion, MidJourney, Lumion, V-Ray, and other imaging software.
- At least 1 year of professional Revit experience. Please show Revit work at both design and construction documentation level.
- Please show realistic 3D capabilities with understanding of high rendering quality.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to support multiple projects at one time.
- An understanding of the needs of clients and the ability to manage between client and firm.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, along with good interpersonal skills.
- Able to develop simple and elegant design approaches to complex design problems.
- Able to create organized and quality drawn construction documents.
- Able to collaborate actively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Must be organized, able to act independently when it comes to production of the drawings.
- Candidates must be legally allowed to work in the US and have graduated from a NAAB-accredited institution.
- Candidates must have experience in high-end residential or hospitality experience and be able to draft details in CAD.
