Intermediate Architect

COOKFOX Architects is seeking a practiced Intermediate Architect with excellent design skills, and a minimum of 6 years of professional experience to join our New York City Studio. Experience and interest in Construction Administration preferred as duties will include CA. Candidates should also demonstrate interest in working in a collaborative studio environment, have an interest in environmental sustainability and social equity and inclusion.

Candidate qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years professional experience
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture
  • A strong working knowledge of Revit required; proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3DMax a plus
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards and structures
  • Experience in construction document preparation and field observation
  • Comfort in a leadership role; experience in working with diverse clients and consultants
  • Supervisory and management skills required as well as the ability to guide and mentor architectural staff
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and organized, with strong graphic and communication skills
  • Availability to visit job sites as needed
