Qualifications

 

Summary:

AO is seeking a  Interior Designer with Experience in FF&E specifications to join our amazing Interior Design Team. This person should be detail-oriented and passionate about design, with extensive knowledge of Revit and CAD. The  Senior interior designer’s key responsibilities include visualizing and sketching design plans per client goals, sourcing products and materials, determining costs, and inspecting construction to ensure alignment with design specifications and, in addition, managing the project lifecycle from beginning to finish, working with the other designer and senior designers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

 

PROJECT DESIGN SUPPORT ACTIVITIES:

  • Based upon direction given by Client, Project manager, or other senior staff, develop to completion the design drawings, tabulations, documents, and other services as required for the assigned project(s).   This typically includes sketching schematic and detailed site plans, floor plans, building images, building elevations, materials selections, color selections, and other aspects of the design and presentation process.
  • Assist in preparing the drawings, sketches, and related documents to accurately represent the project to the client, approving agency, and contractor in sufficient detail to allow the subsequent preparation of project construction documents and specifications by other AO technical staff.

 

DESIGN TEAM INTERACTION:

  • Coordinate their project design efforts with the other senior staff and design team members.
  • Assist senior staff in the scheduling of the project and individual tasks.
  • Present, discuss and receive design review comments from other Senior Designers and senior staff on assigned projects/tasks.

 

PERSONAL TIME MANAGEMENT:

  • Organize and prioritize individual projects or multiple projects independently or in conjunction with other Senior designers or other senior staff.

 

Core Expectations:

  • 5-7 years of experience working in Interior Design
  • Casino Experience preferred
  •  FF&E specifications
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Portfolio of design work.
  • Experience with computational design.
  • Highly creative, imaginative, and artistic.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially regarding communicating an artistic vision.
