Role Description
Studio PCH seeks an intermediate-level interior designer with a minimum of three years of professional experience that includes hospitality projects and putting together FF&E specifications. This position will be focused on design aspects related to hospitality projects as well as some private residential projects, from conceptual design through construction phases. The right candidate must have experience with Autocad, Revit, Sketchup, and InDesign.
This is a full-time on-site interior designer/furniture designer role at Studio PCH in Venice, CA. The designer will be responsible for space planning, creating architectural and construction drawings, interior design, and FF&E selection and specification. The designer will work closely with the Studio PCH team and clients to deliver exceptional design solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design;
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a design team member in an interior design / architectural firm
- Experience in high-end hospitality design; Experience in high-end residential design;
- Expertise in Space Planning, Interior Design, and FF&E selection, specification, and design
- Demonstrates a strong ability to work as part of a team environment;
- Excellent organizational skills and great communicator;
- Ability to be proactive and maintain a positive attitude;
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD, Revit;
- Proficient in Adobe Suite;
- Experience with Sketchup;
- Experience with Studio Designer preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Daily coordination with principal and project manager;
- Developing and documenting design solutions from conceptual design through construction documents.
- Translating conceptual ideas through diagrams, key visualizations, and renderings within a presentation package.
- Develop and assist with client presentations.
- Ability to create full set of interior construction documents;
- Create FF&E specification packages;
- Executing and coordinating drawings, including plans, sections, details, and schedules;
- Providing coordination with consultants and manufacturers;
- Ensure presentations meet Studio PCH, Inc. standards;
- Assist and coordinate the selection of fabrics, samples, finish selections, materials, paints, etc.
- Ability to purchase, procure, & coordinate logistics for all decorative elements for a project installation.
- Creating and explaining design concepts;
- Communicating succinctly about design goals;
- Designing interior and exterior furnishings;
- Developing a budget for materials and construction;
