We are looking for a full-time Interior Designer with significant design skills to join our growing and fast-paced team. This position will be a leader in creating architectural interiors and will work hand-in-hand with the architectural team to develop exceptional projects. The focus of this position will be on hospitality resorts, though there will be opportunities for interior design across our many other typologies. The ideal candidate is well-rounded, detail-oriented, and ambitious. The position requires design and coordination on interiors projects in all phases from concept through installation, including management and purchasing. Being able to work independently and in teams, along with superb attention to detail, meet deadlines and adherence to studio standards is expected. Extensive knowledge of FF&E selection and the specification process as well as the more technical side of design construction documents, details, plans, schedules, etc. is required.

The Interiors Interior Designer will be responsible for:

  • Design conceptualization
  • Drawing set production
  • Working with 3D models and 2D representations
  • Specification and documentation of FF&E
  • Mood boards and graphic presentations
  • Construction detailing and administration
  • Coordination and collaboration with team members
  • Assistance with project documentation
  • Generate furniture plans, FF&E manuals, schedules and more
  • Sourcing FF&E, managing procurement and overseeing budgets
  • 6-8+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture
  • Excellent software skills, including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop at a minimum), 3D modeling (SketchUp or Rhino) and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word at a minimum)
  • ArchiCAD knowledge is preferred; ability to learn and work in 3D BIM software is a must
  • Knowledge of building and accessibility codes, lighting design and material/product vendors
  • Strong time-management, communication, and organization skills
  • Experience in the construction phase is preferred
  • Having an ability to adjust to shifting priorities, and jump between tasks and across scales, is important
