We are looking for a full-time Interiors Project Designer to be based in Orlando, Florida with significant design skills to join our growing and fast-paced team. This position will be a leader in creating architectural interiors mainly on hospitality resorts, though there will be opportunities for interior design across our other many typologies. The Interiors Project Designer will work hand-in-hand with the architectural team to develop exceptional projects. The ideal candidate is creative, well-rounded, detail-oriented, and ambitious. The position requires design and coordination on interiors projects in all phases from concept through installation, including management and procurement. Being able to work independently and in teams, along meeting superb attention to detail, meet deadlines, and adherence to studio standards is expected. Understanding of FF&E selection and specification process as well as the more technical side of design construction documents, details, plans, schedules, etc. is required.

The Interiors Project Designer will be responsible for:

  • Design conceptualization
  • Drawing set production
  • Working with 3D models and 2D representations
  • Specification and documentation of FF&E
  • Mood boards and graphic presentations
  • Coordination and collaboration with team members
  • Assistance with project documentation and construction administration
  • Generation of furniture plans, FF&E manuals, schedules and more
  • Sourcing FF&E, managing procurement and overseeing budgets
  • Managing samples and an interiors library

We are looking for professionals with the following qualifications:

  • 5-12+ years of consistent experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture
  • Excellent software skills, including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop at a minimum), 3D modeling (SketchUp or Rhino) and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word at a minimum)
  • Ability to work in 3D BIM software is a must; ArchiCAD experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of building and accessibility codes, lighting design and sourcing of FF&E
  • Strong time-management, communication, and organization skills
  • Portfolio with exceptional interior design proposals, custom furniture/fixture design, and detailing
  • Construction Administration experience required
  • An ability to adjust to shifting priorities, and jump between tasks and across scales, is important
  • Knowledge base to be able to incorporate sustainability and wellness into design proposals
