Selldorf Architects is seeking an Interiors Intern who is a creative, focused, and passionate individual who demonstrates a keen interest in working in a team environment on sophisticated and complex project. The Interiors Intern position is focused on furniture, fabrics, and finishes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the team in general preparation of design and presentation documentation
- Produce virtual furniture models and renderings, update CAD drawings, sketches, and elevations
- Develop understanding of building materials, details and construction and documentation techniques
- Maintain interiors library, coordinate sample returns, manage vendor requests
- Provides general administrative support
- Committed to learning about the field of interior design
Requirements:
- Applicants must currently be enrolled in an Interior Design undergraduate degree or Master’s program and have completed a minimum of 2 years.
- Previous experience in an interior design office or related field desirable.
- Basic abilities in drawing and rendering required.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) and 3D Visualization Programs including Rhino
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and precision and with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines, completing tasks as previously defined.
- Ability to work with integrity, trust, commitment, setting an example for others
- Required to be in-person
