Flad is a national architectural firm currently hiring a Healthcare Data and Research Analyst. Integrated with project teams, this role will support the development and integration of analytics and research into Flad’s innovative and award-winning healthcare practice. How will your days be spent
- Work collaboratively with clients, leadership, and project teams to augment the design processes with data and research driven philosophies. This may include leading aspects of projects with data and analytics focus.
- Assist with identifying, accessing, cleaning, and analyzing datasets relevant to answering healthcare client needs and questions. Types of datasets include population, demographic, patient volume, survey, architectural design/planning, and other health-related metrics. Types of analyses include prescriptive, predictive, inferential, descriptive, causal, exploratory, etc.
- Support strategic planning, master planning, and feasibility study project teams. Help facilitate front-end visioning and planning workshops, focus groups, and data-review sessions with clients.
- Collaborate in project teams to create data and space illustrations that help clients and teams easily understand and apply the information.
- Lead space utilization analyses to inform master plans. Analyze data and produce meaningful metrics and illustrations that support informed recommendations for the project.
- Assist with identifying potential research topics. Develop new techniques and technologies for data collection. Effectively interpret and disseminate findings, and apply conclusions to design projects.
What you bring to this role
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent and relevant healthcare experience in data analysis, research, human factors, performance management, statistics, architecture and design, or equivalent required.
- Experience with research data collection tools, such as surveys, focus groups, interviews, observations, process mapping, value stream mapping, or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in searching and synthesizing information from external industry resources, databases, repositories, etc. preferred.
- Background in architecture and design preferred with the ability to apply data metrics and visualizations to buildings and campuses.
Required Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products including Excel and Power BI required.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite required.
- SurveyMonkey, Tableau, and/or other data and analytics tools required.
- Experience in data and analytics, with the ability to identify appropriate tools and methods to analyze and visually communicate different types of problems required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, informatics, industrial engineering, business, design, human factors, applied analytics, statistics, design research, or other related degree required.
- Master of Science in related field preferred.
