Create Design is seeking a BIM manager to join its team in London.

Attributes and characteristics:

  • a qualified BIM manager with at least three years of experience working with ArchiCAD
  • will have a track record in delivering BIM Level 2 projects
  • good level of knowledge of construction and procurement techniques
  • good level of skills in staff management
  • competent skills in project management
  • ability to help drive projects forward
  • possess excellent time management skills and multi-tasking abilities
  • have a positive representation of the company
  • has very good knowledge of the latest trends in digital construction technology
  • effective oral and written communication skills


The following are some, though not an exclusive list, of the duties you will be expected to carry out:

  • ensure the smooth running of BIM software and hardware
  • providing support to the relevant director by working closely with IT
  • support to manage software and hardware development, updates, archiving and back-up strategy
  • responsible for formulating and implementing Create’s CAD/ BIM strategy through ArchiCAD
  • maintain up to date industry-standard CAD/ BIM procedures and systems to ensure interoperability with other systems and organisations
  • leading the development of the BIM Handbook, templates and office standards, and responsible for   communicating these to all staff
  • responsible for creating a curriculum of staff training in matters relating to CAD/ BIM presented through CPD sessions
  • designing and providing CAD/ BIM inductions and training sessions for new staff
  • assisting staff to set up new projects/ ArchiCAD models in line with CAD/ BIM standards
  • keeping abreast of latest trends in digital construction by attending relevant events and seminars and through research
  • providing ongoing ad hoc CAD/ BIM assistance to project teams, with the support of the BIM group
  • assisting in the promotion and marketing of the practice and bid documentation
  • providing support with the implementation and maintenance of company policies and procedures
  • reports to the director responsible for BIM
