About the position:
As the BIM Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of our BIM processes, tools, while ensuring a high standard of project delivery. You will work closely with the principals, project managers, disciplinary experts and oversee a team of BIM Technicians. Your role will be essential to our company in relation to the evolving landscape of BIM practices in the industry.
You will:
- Spearhead the development and refinement of our BIM standards, templates, families, and onboarding process for BIM Technicians and relevant engineering staff.
- Strategize and manage internal BIM operations, integrating new technologies and processes to improve project delivery.
- Work with internal and external project team members to resolve interoperability issues.
- Manage the priorities and support the efforts of BIM technicians and project teams.
- Review projects’ contractual obligations related to BIM practices and deliverables. Provide comment for the revision of such contractual obligations to ensure alignment with internal practices.
- Work with people from different backgrounds and various engineering expertise.
You are:
- Excellent at communicating and facilitating skills development.
- Well versed in AEC conventions and practices.
- Highly proficient with Revit, ACC, and related model management and collaboration practices.
- Able to work autonomously and incorporate knowledge from various stakeholders.
- Enthusiastic about new technologies and disseminating your knowledge.
- Able to analyse complex organisational structures and distill them into simple to understand ones.
- Adept at problem solving and thrive on developing new skills.
You have:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC), structural engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or related fields. All candidates with applicable experience are encouraged to apply.
- 5+ years experience managing BIM processes.
- Experience with implementing training programs, developing and maintaining standards.
- Experience on real-world built projects.
- Understanding of interoperability workflows between various software packages.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools such as Rhino, RhinoInsideRevit, Dynamo, CADWORK, CATIA, and FEM tools are a plus.
- Experience with AR/VR and 4D modeling are a plus.
Base Salary:
CAD 85,000 – 115,000 (will be commensurate with ability and experience).
This position is office-based and subject to a Hybrid Work Policy (up to 2 days of remote work per week).
