Role Description
Responsible for specific technical design aspects of assigned major projects, including the investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meet the client’s needs. Provides professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large, complex projects. Independently applies advanced architectural concepts and design principles. Executes complex or unique assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures. May provide technical guidance and oversee a team of junior architects and designers.
Responsibilities
- Manage, with oversight, all phases of the project, including project initiation and setup, surveying, construction document drawings, and construction administration.
- CD production and leading a production team during the construction documents phase.
- Work well with and collaborate with a team. Be able to work well on your own with a self-driven work ethic
- On-site construction visits, field surveying, and project punch lists. Construction administration duties to include processing RFIs, record-keeping, and submittals/shop drawings review.
- A Bachelor’s in Architecture or Master’s in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited institution. On the path to licensure. An Architecture License is a plus.
- 5-9 years of professional experience.
- Ability to produce 3D modeling and renderings through the use of REVIT or other 3D means i.e., Sketchup), including rendering programs (i.e., Lumion).
- Coordinate with consultants on an ongoing basis. Full CD coordination with MEP engineers
- Client interface and relationship building from project start to finish.
- Lead meetings and presentations with clients and consultants.
- Review drawings for accuracy, including building code, scope of work, and design intent.
- Selection & specification of equipment and finishes.
- On-site construction visits, field surveying, and project punch lists. Construction administration duties to include processing RFIs, record-keeping, and submittals/shop drawings review.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s in Architecture or Master’s in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited institution. On the path to licensure. An Architecture License is a plus.
- 5-9 years of professional experience.
- Ability to produce 3D modeling and renderings through the use of REVIT or other 3D means i.e., Sketchup), including rendering programs (i.e., Lumion).
- Desire to learn new things and face project complexities with a drive for success.
- Good understanding of commercial architecture and construction.
- Knowledge of BOMA is a plus.
- Independently and comprehensively survey spaces.
- Ability to produce 3D modeling and renderings through the use of REVIT or other 3D means i.e., Sketchup), including rendering programs (i.e., Lumion).
