Job Description: We are seeking a highly talented and highly motivated Designer to join our expanding company. This is not a normal job, it is a leadership opportunity: we want someone who is excited to be part of the company’s growth and to create a strong unique position for themselves, who will relish the challenges that come with being a leader. This role will give the candidate the ability to manage projects very early on in their career including the design process and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing full drawing sets, computer models, and construction details under the supervision of a Principal Architect
- Engagement with clients, consultants, and vendors in a highly professional manner
- Producing renderings for conceptual designs and detailed architectural features to be built
- Producing design studies utilizing computer drawings and 3D through all phases of project delivery
- Products and specifications research
- Navigating permitting and codes
- Construction site visits for design and construction reviews
- Desire to grow into a project management position and drive to help grow the company
- Working in-person with our team at our office located in Venice Beach, CA
Qualifications:
- Professional Degree (B. Arch or M. Arch)
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Excellent graphic and communication skills, well-spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Have experience in SD, DD, and CD drawings and processes, particularly in working details and coordination of complex projects
- Proficiency in Revit – Please do not apply to this job if you do not have significant professional experience in Revit
- High Level of Computer Literacy, with proficiency in Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite programs, as well complementary rendering software skills (3DS Max, V-Ray, Twinmotion, etc.) is a plus
- Understanding of Construction details and methods
- Experience with and deep understanding of sustainable design principles is a plus
- Personal Time and Task Management Skills
- Ongoing desire to learn the process of permitting and code analysis
- Is authorized to work in the USA
