KPF is seeking a senior technical architect to join its team in Singapore.

Roles and duties:

  • be responsible for and lead the technical architectural design for a complex transport infrastructure project
  • alongside the design principal and project manager, develop the design concept and provide technical guidance to the design team members for the site planning, exterior facade and maintenance systems, interior design, landscape design, building systems strategy, egress and life safety, and sustainable design integration
  • there will be a particular focus on the development of the technical design of the exterior envelope wall and roof systems, you will be expected to lead all coordination with the engineering consultants
  • interpret, organise, execute and coordinate assignments, monitor the delivery of the project with the PM and QA/QC of architectural drawing production to firm-wide standards
  • coordinate with specialist consultants
  • demonstrate proficiency in CAD and BIM as well as graphic design software for the production of construction drawings, visualisation and presentation materials
  • conceptualise and develop architectural strategies by applying theoretical and practical knowledge, integration of functionality, properties and utilisation of materials, spatial principles, historical and cultural design perspectives, urban planning and place-making
  • produce design studies and high quality presentation materials for client and government approvals
  • develop and monitor architectural plans and drawings with compliance to local codes and regulations, environmental rules, safety issues and other design and construction-related factors

Requirements:

  • Master of Architecture degree or post-graduate equivalent in architecture, architectural design or related field
  • possess 12 or more years of relevant work experience, five of which or more of post-graduate experience in a leading design and/or technical role on large, complex mixed-use projects with multi-disciplinary teams
  • at least five years of working experience with a major international architectural practice
  • able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam and Newforma
  • familiarity with relevant international and local codes and regulations
  • excellent written and verbal communication, organisation, planning and documentation skills in English
