G Charles DesignG Charles Design is a design office located in Reseda. Our internal structure is based on a design studio in a traditional setting with a team of 8 staff to 1 principal licensed architect. We are offering project lead positions where our architecture business model is based on experiencing the entire process from design, construction documents, processing (with Planning and Building) and construction administration. We balance the core architecture experience with core business experience making our model unique to candidates and licensed practitioners. Each lead is assigned their own projects and will work closely with the principal architect through all phases. As a licensed architecture firm, we take great effort in mentoring and preparing staff in the process and completion of the exams including reimbursement of exams, rules may apply.
Our practice focuses on Estate Homes (remodels, additions and new construction), Multi Family Housing, Tenant Improvements, Education, and Commercial Retail. We are also experiencing growth with several project types and are expanding into Government Contracts.
Position is full time, Monday-Thursday 8-6pm and Fridays are half-days year round.
Core Qualifications
- 4 to 8 years Experience in Type V construction
- AutoCAD, Revit with 3D , Sketchup, and Photoshop are required.
- Bachelors Degree in Architecture or technical school certification.
- Active in seeking Licensure through NCARB
- Consultant Coordination Experience
- Understanding of Construction concepts and techniques such as with Type I II and V
- Pay is commensurate with experience based on a range of $27 – 35/hour
