Foxlin is an award-winning architectural office with a diverse range of local and international projects. We are seeking an outstanding and hard-working individual to join our team. The ideal Project Manager and/or Designer would be able and responsible for handling every aspect of a project from start to finish.

FoxLin is currently working on a very diverse number of projects in Southern California from cliff-side single family houses to  multi-family projects, office and restaurant projects, as well as a number interactive sculptures in China that entail full-scale prototyping. 

The candidate will work directly with the principals/clients/consultants and work on all levels of projects and gain invaluable experience. It is the perfect job for a person looking to gain across-the-board experience for the exams. The pay is commensurate with experience and the location is with ocean views in beautiful San Clemente.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Have 1-3 years professional experience.

  • Strong/Talented Designer

  • Strong technical, organizational and communication skills

  • Proficiency in Revit on a real project (1+ years)

  • Computer Rendering skills

  • B. Arch or M. Arch degree from an accredited U.S. Architecture School

  • Legal authorization to work in the US and English fluency

  • Ability to work on multiple projects

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to collaborate with team members

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good Conceptual hand-sketching

  • Project Management Experience

  • Proficiency in Grasshopper, Arduino

  • Current or imminent residency in the Southern California Region

  • 2+years of Revit Experience

  • Experience with Construction Detailing

  • Strong Graphic Design Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong IT Skills

  • Misc. Marketing skills, such as web design or social media

Unique Qualifications (please note if you have any of the unique skills listed below)

  • Have skills in Embedded Interaction Design – Proficient in Programming, and physical computing as well as prototyping and an understanding of basic sensors and actuators.

  • Be fluent in Mandarin Chinese

Tasks to include but are not limited to:

  • Communicate with principals, consultants, and developers in a clear and timely manner.

  • Develop schematic layouts, design options per project, and diagram information to communicate information effectively and propose design ideas for discussion with architect.

  • Build on principal’s direction per project and develop a set of drawings.

  • Input redlines and other data

  • Research project information, visit sites, conduct field measurements

  • Organize projects based on office standards.

  • Provide office support
