We are looking for a full-time Project Architect to join our growing team in an architectural role focused on accessibility at hospitality projects across the country. The right person for this role will have significant code analysis and detailing/documentation experience and will be an excellent communicator and creative problem solver. This Project Architect will oversee the architectural, interpersonal and administrative aspects of multiple projects, collaborating with our dedicated in-house project team, as well as a CASp consultant in the review of documented site assessments, development of drawing sets to complete the required accessibility upgrades and general building improvements, and management of the Client-Consultant team. There are potential travel opportunities, though not required. There may also be opportunities to work on other, smaller projects within the office, such as commercial tenant improvements, restaurants, multi-family, etc. as time allows.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage architectural plans
  • Oversee the architectural, interpersonal and administrative aspects of multiple projects
  • Collaborate with in-house project team and a CASp consultant in the review of documented site assessments
  • Develop drawing sets to complete the required accessibility upgrades and general building improvements
  • Manage the Client-Consultant team

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • 7-10+ years of experience with recent, comprehensive experience dealing with accessibility codes
  • Software Experience to include AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred
  • ArchiCAD and Ajera experience is a bonus
  • Thorough organization skills
  • Good design sensibility
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Excellent drawing coordination and documentation skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of codes, specs, engineering systems and construction methods
  • Resourceful and efficient
  • Ability to resolve complex issues and develop solutions
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
